Lake Toya is a Doughnut-shaped crater lake, five kilometers across and 43 kilometers around containing four Nakajima islets.
On the lakeside shore Toya Spa exist , backed by the active volcanoes of Mt. Usu and Mt. Showa-Shinzan. Let's see these from the best view point, Silo Observatory and walk around new crater.

Noboribetsu Spa is said to be the top in the Orient with an output of ten thousand liters daily of eleven different types of hot mineral water. Steam and smoke continually spew out from the volcanic depression known as the 'Internal Valley'. 'Genghis Khan' is lamb and vegetables grilled on a special frying pan at a table, and go well with beer. Here, Sapporo Bier Garten, Genghis khan and beers are served all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink. Please make a reservation with registration. If you want to attend only banquet, you have to go there by yourself. It takes about 30 min from Sapporo Station on foot.
