Story

The Shakotan Peninsula, dotted with fishing ports such as Yoichi, Iwanai, Furubira, bikuni, Yobetsu and Kamoenai, thrived on herring fishing in the past and continues to develop as a fishing region blessed by the sea. Many buildings associated with the historic herring fishing industry can still be found, and this tour traces the history of the Shakotan Peninsula through these landmarks.
An essential part of Shakotan Peninsula's history is the "First-Class Immovable Lens" located at Kamui Cape, which played a significant role in the past. Since its first illumination in 1888 (Meiji 21), this lens has continued to light up the Kamui Cape Lighthouse for over 130 years and is now the only one of its kind still in existence.

• 【Shakotan E-Bike Experience】 (Approx. 5 hours 30 minutes)
• Cycling around Cape Shakotan, Cape Kamui, and the Hamafumi Walking Path, visiting the places you saw from the water during yesterday's SUP experience or from the lighthouse during the night hike, and re-experiencing their beauty from different perspectives.
• Riding through the scenic meadow and Shakotan Town's forest**, enjoying the different landscapes of the mountains and forests compared to yesterday's coastal views, and experiencing the rich variety of Shakotan's nature.
• Visiting the Shakotan Gin farm and distillery**, where you can learn about the local culture and traditions.

Confirmation and Important Notes

• Regarding Cancellation Due to Weather Conditions
  When using the natural park and lighthouse, adherence to the weather conditions specified by the town is mandatory. In the event of strong winds of 15 meters per second or more, or heavy rain (25 mm or more per hour, or 65 mm or more per day), the management gate will be closed for safety reasons. The tour may be canceled even in clear weather due to wind speed.
  Alternative Plans in Case of Tour Cancellation: E-MTB experience, indoor wood carving (e.g., carving spoons, knives, etc. from raw wood), indoor Shakotan insect paper cutting experience, etc.
  
  About the Tour Implementation:
  The tour will generally proceed in light rain, but in cases of strong winds or severe weather, the guide may decide to cancel or change the course. Please be aware of this possibility in advance.
  For SUP, since you will get wet, please keep your phone and camera in a waterproof bag and manage them yourself. After getting out of the water, it can be cold, so please bring warm clothing.
• Risks Associated with Outdoor Activities
  During the tour, staff will pay utmost attention to ensure participants' safety based on weather and site conditions and will make the best decisions according to the situation. We ask all participants to be aware of the risks involved in outdoor activities and to follow the instructions and precautions of our staff.
• Health on the Day
