A company “C”, which handles veterinary drugs, holds annual conferences in the Asian Region. The venues is held around the world and was held in Japan 2018. Kinki Nippon Tourist supported the operation of this large-scale conference over a week.

Story

Company C handles veterinary drugs. Meetings are held every year in the Asian region, and it was decided that 2018 will be held in Japan. Since more than 400 people from all over Asia come to Japan, English is essential for prior consultation. In addition to smooth transition, we were also required to deal with various cultural and dining aspects.

Key factor

We decided to work as a “Team KNT” by 3 sales staff from our office and our company's specialized department ‘International Operation Department (IOD)’ to handle the participants together. Proposals were made ahead of time, such as creating a plan and venue use plan that were not described in the specifications. On the day of the tour, we will arrange tour operators with excellent English support and focus on prompt and detailed response. It led to the success of a large conference.

Comment from person in charge

Some customers were concerned about the earthquakes and other natural disasters, but we had the systems for in case of emergencies. On the meal side, we prepared a halal corner in the breakfast buffet, and on a free meal day, we charted a bus and guided to an Indian restaurant in Ginza. During dinner, we made and distributed custom-made wooden cups for toast with Japanese sake, which was very delightful as a production that makes you feel “Japan”.
